Being a Community Moderator at TOKI means being an active leader, a motivator, and a bridge between the Core Team and your local community. Below are the core responsibilities and expectations for Moderators to fulfill their role effectively.
Important Note: TOKI’s Core Team will perform monthly Moderator Reviews to ensure all Moderators meet the minimum requirements and expectations - with the possibility of putting the Moderator under notice or even role termination.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Engagement & Activity
- Keep your local language channel consistently active.
- Post regularly about TOKI updates, news, and hot topics.
- Prompt and encourage community comments and participation by initiating discussions, finishing posts with enticing questions, etc.
2. Member Retention & Onboarding
- Welcome all new joiners regularly as they enter the local channel.
- Encourage new members to:
- Gain TOKI Roles by meeting the requirements and filling out the applications.
- Earn Points by participating in events and activities and using the Mainnet.
- Encourage newcomers to get at least Junior TOKIAN as early as possible to get started in the community properly.
3. Localization of Announcements
- Translate and localize all TOKI announcements to your local language.
- Ensure timely posting of key updates so your community stays informed.
- Use good judgment to adopt clear, culturally relevant language and visuals to enhance comprehension.
4. Local Event Hosting (Monthly Minimum)
- Organize and host at least 1 local event per month. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Event formats may include:
- Local AMA sessions
- Quiz/Game nights
- Live chats or livestreams
- Any other creative idea that gets the community involved
- Share summaries or results of the event afterward with the Core Team.
